Why Are Turkish Towels Known as The Queen of Toweling?

Do you find the normal white towels boring? Why not switch over to the lightweight, versatile Turkish towels?

These towels are made of 100% cotton. Hence, they are known for being extremely soft. Moreover, in light of the fact that cotton improves with wear, your towel’s comfort will increase after a few uses and washes.

When it comes to style, Turkish towels are unmatched. Their designs and colors are far more appealing compared to their regular counterparts. So, what makes Turkish towels so special?

You can use these towels for a wide range of purposes. Let’s look at some of the most popular uses of Turkish towels.

Beach or Bath Towel

When traveling, some accommodation facilities don’t provide bath towels and few facilities provide proper beach towel. Being a lightweight, highly absorbent, and quick to dry towel, a Turkish towel can be a great addition to your picnic basket, beach bag or travel case.

Besides being very soft and stylish, these towels are also quite practical. They are usually larger and hence can cover more sand for you at the beach. While they normally cover more surface area the thin material can collapse into a smaller size. This makes a Turkish towel easy to fold up and tuck away into your beach bag.

Turkish towels can make an excellent blanket as they are silky smooth and soft, thanks to the long staple cotton fiber lengths that are used to make them. You can wrap the towel around your shoulders to protect you from getting cold on a night out. You can also use it as a blanket scarf.

You can use this towel as a cover-up. How do you do it?

Just tie in a sizable knot at your hip and leave the slit. You can also transform your Turkish towel into a skirt to serve as an additional clothing item whenever you are traveling. Simply take one end of the towel to your waist and then wrap the other end on top of it. Be sure to tuck it to the top when you reach the end.

Afterward, fold over the top for optimum security. You don’t want your skirt to fall off when you least expect it.

Did you know that Turkish towels can also make a great bag for carrying your stuff? All you need to do is tie the edges of the middle together length-wise before tying the longer ends together.

This is a great bag for going to and from the beach. However, it is not a good idea to wear the Turkish towel as a bag if you are carrying valuable items like your camera. It may slip out or hands might accidentally grab it and the results could be disastrous.

Final thoughts

With their soft soothing texture, Turkish Towels are the frontrunners in quality and simple everyday luxury. Their soft cotton is lightweight and super absorbent. This makes them dry much faster than a traditional cotton terry towel. These towels normally come in vibrant colors as well as more muted tones. They are incredibly versatile for beach, bath, scarf, skirt, sarong, or a summer throw. So, consider ditching your boring, white tile and invest in a Turkish towel.
