MUSA Studio wanted to design a naturally lit, bright and elegant neoclassic apartment. They got to work and the result is this beautiful 80-square meter apartment in Chisinau, Moldova. The apartment is christened Cashmere.
Cashmere features a soft and calm color scheme dotted with grey tones. This gives it a somewhat sophisticated look. It also features natural materials such as marble, wood, and metal accents.
The entire floor and some walls are covered with chevron parquet. This adds some Persian chic to the apartment. The wall molding and ceiling medal in the bedroom accentuate the feeling.
The wooden panels seem to play double duty. They are at times part of the furniture. And other times they hide doors, such as the laundry door.
The public zone is an open floor plan that encompasses the living, kitchen, and dining areas. The apartment also features a day zone that includes a workspace.
A composition of several wooden closets visually separates the public zone from the entrance zone. That means the closets are not only functional but aesthetical as well.
The common area occupies the middle of the home, while the private areas lay on the sides. There is a master bedroom with a walk-in closet and a private bathroom on one side. Another side houses the kid’s room, a bathroom, and laundry.
In the kid’s room, there is a two-leveled bed as well as closets and personal desks for each child. Common bathroom, adorned with a geometric pattern on a side wall, features a bathtub.
An isolated laundry room is a functional element of the home and it handles all the laundry stuff.
