Are you single and looking for a relaxing retreat to unwind at the end of a long day? Then you might want to look at this single bedroom apartment designed by Mariya Chmut and Olga Andrianova.
Located in Kiev, Ukraine, the 85-square meter apartment takes an open floor approach with warm and inviting natural neutral color scheme. The large windows flood the space with plenty of natural light. It was designed to deliver maximum comfort blended with functionality.
Shall we have a tour of the apartment and see what it has to offer?
Living Space
Walking into the airy open-layout living area, you are greeted by dramatic forest greens and golden toned woodwork décor. Your eye can’t miss the brass accents, thanks to the central placement of the stylishly cantilevered Cliff suspension light.

The furniture is unsophisticated with straightforward materials. The furniture blends beautifully with the walls, visible wooden structure, as well as the large windows. Likewise, the artwork is minimal and accentuates the understated monochromatic theme of the walls. This is an excellent place to relax with friends on the cozy sofa or watch TV.

Kitchen and Dining Area
Separating the kitchen and the living space is a compact and versatile breakfast table with kitchen bar stools. Besides dining, the table can also be used for food preparation among other kitchen tasks. Low kitchen pendant lighting brightens up the space.

Black on black finishes enriches the illusion of depth given to the work area. Likewise, the variation in matte texture ensures the surfaces don’t look too minimal or undefined.
Away from the public area, let’s see what we have in the private areas.
The Bedroom
In the bedroom, brass accents and relaxing colors still abound. It is a predominantly bright bedroom with darker elements restricted to the ground.
One side of the room features a smooth and sculptural chair with a compact table. It makes a perfect working space.

Stepping into the bathroom, you are welcomed with richly veined tiles. The tiles add a touch of warmth to the space, thanks to their wood-like texture and tone.
There is plenty of built-in storage to ensure the narrow room remains uncluttered. You can’t fail to notice the single linen basket tucked away conveniently under the sink vanity.
